The Facility & Engine Control System (FECS) is designed to control
all aspects of the test in manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic
modes of operation. It is PLC Based and includes actuators for engine
control, ARINC or 1553 for FADEC control and relays for discrete
control.
The system allows for on-screen (touch) control or control through traditional levers depending upon customer preference:
The
FECS is also fully integrated into the EngineTest products so test
sequencing in any mode is readily available. The EngineTest RealTime
Client contains a page allowing for manual control of the engine.
The ETRTC also contains the sequencer and test report allowing for full, hands-free, single click testing. This is implemented for customers who require fully automated testing of the engines with minimal operator intervention.
