The Vector Aerospace T700 and T58 upgrade was implemented to allow for the testing of several larger variants of the T700 (-8x). The entire dynamometer and test bed was replaced at the same time as the DAS upgrade to accommodate faster data rates and full FADEC capability.
The
interface to the existing facility systems (shared water, etc.) and the
Kahn dynamometer and test bed was included in the upgrade as well. The
test cell upgrade was passing off T58 production engines 2 weeks ahead
of schedule.
